Fed's Fisher: too soon to discuss higher rates Apr 2nd 2012, 12:49 WASHINGTON | Mon Apr 2, 2012 8:49am EDT WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Dallas Federal Reserve Bank President Richard Fisher said on Monday that the economy was gaining momentum but it is too soon to talk about raising interest rates. "It's not overwhelmingly robust...it's positive, it's moving in the right direction, it's gaining momentum," Fisher said in an interview on CNBC Television. "But I think it's a little bit premature to talk about tightening here," he added.
