| Fed has done enough, should do no more, says Fisher Mar 27th 2012, 18:05 By Ann Saphir CHOUDRANT, Louisiana | Tue Mar 27, 2012 2:05pm EDT CHOUDRANT, Louisiana (Reuters) - The U.S. Federal Reserve should not do any more to stimulate the economy, and has probably already done too much, a top Fed official known for hawkish policy views said on Tuesday. "The Fed has done its job. We provided liquidity when there was none," Dallas Fed President Richard Fisher said at the Ruston Community Forum in northern Louisiana's Squire Creek Country Club. "We have more than filled the gas tanks, there is plenty of liquidity in the system." The U.S. economy will not see "robust" growth unless lawmakers provide better clarity on future tax policy and regulations, he said. | |
